DJ Denise (San Fransisco, CA)

DJ Denise is no stranger to electronic music. Since her meteoric rise in the San Francisco underground scene in the late '90s under the guise DJ D, Denise has played countless events from Miami to Hawaii and everywhere in between, spreading her unique energy and style. Her nonchalant fader flicks and mixer tricks combined with effortless beat-matching skills captivate her train-spotting fans.

Between 2006-2013, Denise launched her music production career while concurrently running her record label, Mizumo Music. The label released over 180 EPs from local & international artists while her original songs & remixes were released on labels based out of Europe, Australia, North & South America and South Africa.

In 2013, Denise stepped back from the label and production to focus on developing her career as a healthcare professional. But in 2020, just prior to the pandemic, Denise could no longer ignore her creative side and dusted off her studio computer. This decision proved to be fruitful as she grabbed the attention of DJ Dan's record label, InStereo Recordings. She now has six releases on this powerhouse with more in the pipeline and has ongoing collaborations with fellow InStereo artists The Incredible Melting Man (Canada), divaDanielle, Tone Abstract and Callback Funk.

AQUAPHONIC (Redding, CA)

AQUAPHONIC began spinning house music on vinyl in the late 90's in the Midwest, and has been in love with electronic music ever since. AQUAPHONIC’s signature sound of Good Vibes Dance Music includes soaring builds, infectious melodies, and all the energy you need groove up the dance floor.

After relocating to California just a few years ago, AQUAPHONIC hit the ground running, entertaining dance floors both indoors and out across Northern California and Southern Oregon. Most recently, AQUAPHONIC has been named a finalist in the Fresh Start SF DJ Contest put on by San Fransisco venue The Midway for NYE/NYD. AQUAPHONIC is looking forward to sharing his good vibe dance music with you as he spreads PLUR with light and sound!

Kovin (San Francisco, CA)

A exciting rising talent in the Northern California electronic music scene, Kovin has been turning heads and showing impressive talent with heating up dance floors. Kovin really turned up his game in 2022, including a memorable stand-out performance at an annual Halloween event in the Northstate, we are very excited to see what Kovin brings in 2023.

DJ Unēk (Chico, CA)

A veteran DJ and party pro, DJ Unēk has been a Chico staple for years, keeping dance floors filled at countless clubs, casinos, and private events. DJ Unēk bring super fun dance vibes that gets people dancing and keeps it going! We are happy to bring DJ Unēk to Redding for this special event, and we know you're going to enjoy the special set he's preparing for COSMIC 2!

We throw parties!

We don't just throw any ol' party, we throw dance parties with giant glowing vampire alien wizards and lasers, or whatever else sounds fun! We bring music we are excited to share, to people we are excited to meet, or see again for the ba-gillionth time.

Our mission is to bring electronic dance music events to areas where this music may be hard to find, and of course, to spread good vibes wherever we go! We believe you shouldn't have to travel hundreds of miles to get a little slice of the electronic music festival experience. We do this because we love it, and we love to share what we love with you!

That would be a giant 'maybe'! We curate and organize electronic dance music events featuring talented performance DJ's and dance music producers, and we are happy to curate and organize a private event for you. Just keep in mind, we aren't the wedding/Mitzvah/school/request DJ kind of event crew. We have and will curate sets covering just about any genre/sub-genre of electronic music you can think of. Want house, trance, breaks, drum & bass, or dubstep? No prob! Want to start the night with UK Hard House from the early 00's, before transitioning to Happy Hardcore from pre-99', and then finish off the evening with some Gabber? We'll have a blast putting that together for you! Want 5 unique sets of different genres/sub-gebres in one night? You're going to have to try harder than that to stump us! "Who should I contact to see about getting Funk & Friends to organize and curate my next party?"

Please email booking@funkandfriends.com with some details about your proposed event, such as date/time, musical desires, number of people expected to attend, and a bit about the private or public venue you have in mind.

"I need my private event to be discrete, are you willing to sign an NDA?"

No prob! We know VIP's, public figures, and PTA members like electronic music too, and we are happy to help you have a good time while maintaining your needed and preferred level of discretion, including signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement if requested.

"How far out do I need to book you?"

We recommend sending your event proposal at least 3 months in advance of your event date, though you never know what we might be able to pull off, so feel free to hit us up with whatev at booking@funkandfriends.com.
